چکیده

Although peas cv. master pea was registered more than 25 years ago in Egypt, this variety showed a remarkable superiority over the varieties grown all governorates of Egypt terms production, quality, and environmental adaptation to climate changes. This study intends assess cultivar's genetic traits, determine degree its deterioration time develop an appropriate plan for maintenance, improvement, conservation strategic withstand changes climatic conditions Egypt. Many types research have been conducted on production new lines Egypt; yet there is dearth multivariate analysis as technique that can combine variances examined qualities using statistics rely algebra matrices extract statistical markers from which researcher make selection program within cultivars without causing erosion. The present experiment achieve following objectives: monitor performance growth traits Master cultivar UPOV descriptor; evaluation yield characteristics, seed yield, quality descriptor. In study, one most important results obtained phenotypic diversity population (measured descriptor) aspect reflects ability environment. Natural - many inherited countries societies affects among individuals population. It be concluded identified descriptor data show differences between cultivars. Therefore, we recommend taking advantage successful way obtain relationships conservation, improvement programs ancient promising Arab Republic

Comparative Transcriptomic Analyses of Vegetable and Grain Pea (Pisum sativum L.) Seed Development

Understanding the molecular mechanisms regulating pea seed developmental process is extremely important for pea breeding. In this study, we used high-throughput RNA-Seq and bioinformatics analyses to examine the changes in gene expression during seed development in vegetable pea and grain pea, and compare the gene expression profiles of these two pea types. RNA-Seq generated 18.7 G of raw data,...

Pea (Pisum sativum L.) Growth Mutants

This review is devoted to the Pisum sativum L. growth mutants. These mutants are presented by several groups of plants. The first group is characterized by short internodes (dwarf mutants le, na, lk, la, lh, ls) or by elongated internodes (slender mutant sln). The stem growth of mutants of both types (dwarf and slender) is controlled by hormones (GA and IAA) in the stem or in seeds. Mutants cha...

GENETIC DIVERSITY IN ADVANCED GENERATION OF VEGETABLE PEA (Pisum sativum L.)

Twenty five advanced lines among them twelve lines obtained from the cross between Edible Podded Pea and IPSA Motorsuty-1, nine obtained from the cross between Local White and IPSA Motorsuty-3 and five parental lines were included to measure genetic diversity. The field experiment was conducted at the research farm, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur, Bangladesh....

Characterization of pea (Pisum sativum) seed protein fractions.

BACKGROUND Legume seed proteins have to be chemically characterized in order to properly link their nutritional effects with their chemical structure. RESULTS Vicilin and albumin fractions devoid of cross-contamination, as assessed by mass peptide fingerprinting analysis, were obtained from defatted pea (Pisum sativum cv. Bilbo) meal. The extracted protein fractions contained 56.7-67.7 g non-...

Role of nitrogen content of pea (Pisum sativum L.) on pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris) establishment

The leaf nitrogen content is generally accepted as an indicator of food quality and as a factor affecting host selection by phytophagous insects. The alate pea aphids (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris, Aphididae) were given a choice among non-nodulated pea plants (Pisum sativum L.) supplied with one of four nitrate-N levels (0, 3, 15 and 30 mM). When whole plants were exposed to aphids for 7 days, th...
